Witnessing the turnover rites were Mayor Reynaldo V. Velasco, himself a retired three-star police general, the Sanggunian Bayan members, municipal officers and staff, school heads and principals, barangay captains, NGO members, media and other guests.
“I would like to thank everyone especially Mayor Velasco for his all-out support. I couldn’t have done all these accomplishments without the support of everyone,” Noble said at his farewell speech.
For his part, Ramirez stressed the support of every Sta. Barbaran in keeping peace and order.
“I am here to carry out the mission of the PNP, to enforce law, prevent crime and maintain peace and order. But I can’t do it alone. Peace and order is everybody’s business. Hence, I appeal to all of you to give me the support and assistance you have given to PSupt Noble,” Ramirez said.
For his part, Mayor Velasco said, “A leader gets all strength from his constituents, staff and co-workers. I deliver good performance because I have good constituents, staff and co-workers, like PSupt. Eric Noble who brought Sta. Barbara Police Station to the top. I believe, PCInsp. Ramirez can do the same. I have known both of them to be equally good since they have been my staff when I was the deputy director general of the PNP.
Mayor Velasco also cited Noble for his excellent performance during his one year and almost two-month stint as police chief especially in the implementation of several innovative programs towards youth development.
Noble won the search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) sponsored by the Metrobank Foundation. More than two months later, he was a recipient of the much coveted Presidential Lingkod Bayan award for outstanding civil service.
Noble also received commendation for outstanding performance as Chief of Police of this town from July 24, 2008 to September 14, 2009.
