Tandem wins in Bayambang

BAYAMBANG - Mayor Elect Ricardo Camacho who ran unopposed garnering 36,666 votes along with his running mate Mylvin Junio who is considered a runaway winner garnering a 26,441 votes against Junio’s challenger Gerry De Vera of Nacionalista Party with only 17,819 votes.

Both Camacho and Junio who ran under the Nationalist People’s Coalition and are on their third term along with the New sets of Sangguniang Bayan members were proclaimed winners of the 2013 Midterm Elections by the Municipal Board of Election Inspectors (MBEI).

Majority of the Sangguniang Bayan members who were proclaimed early Wednesday May 14,2013 winners after receiving all precinct tally sheets of clustered precincts from all 77 villages were dominated by Nationalist People’s Coalition except Chato Junio who ran independently and earmarks herself with a margin of 1,570 votes against third termer councilor elect Levin Uy and 217 votes against Emo Bato who ranked number nine.

Camacho in an interview with Pangasinan Today said that he’s being unopposed for this Midterm election is a proof that Bayambaguenos are one and United in bringing progress and cannot be dictated upon by Powers that be he is also thankful because even without an opponent the people who believed in his leadership as showed in an increased number of people who have voted for him compared to the 2010 elections as stated in the COMELEC refference report of only 23,637 votes have also increased in numbers.

Camacho reiterated however his 101 percent support to P-Noy .

The Mayor added that his way of serving his constituents will also have to be worked hard focused on delivering basic social services for the elderly the youth and the general welfare as he opted to bring more infrustracture developments concentrated in every barangays of this municipality.

It will be recalled that Former Vice Mayor Jose S.Ramos drew a battlefield when he filed he’s certificate of candidacy from this vote rich municipality with 67,884 registered voters under Liberal Party, Ramos who is blood related to former President Fidel V.Ramos later withdrew his candidacy giving way to Camacho and let his son Joseph Vincent Ramos joins the mayor’s team, Joseph Vincent was among those proclaimed that day.

In a recent interview with Zenaida Diaz COMELEC Assistant Election Officer base in this town after the actual posting of the results in this site explained that the Partial Unofficial tally of this town was the one being posted in the official website of the COMELEC however the actual Certificates of Canvass of Votes of winning candidates signed by the Municipal Board of Election's Inspector chairman Milette D.Lopez with Luisita Danan Vice Chairman shows a different tally the one posted on the website was the Partial unofficial bearing only 61.51 percent of the Actual tallied votes.

 

Diaz in a telephone interview also said that despite Camacho's being unopposed the number of voters who have participated in this Mid Term election have showed progress as the actual number of voters turned out to reach 47,391 which is more or less 69.something percent of the 67,885 registered voters compared to 2010's 64.something percent she said.
